EtabsWebBridge - lets TheStructuralCalc read your open ETABS model live
=======================================================================

Version 1.10.0 (the first line in its window says which version is running).

https://thestructuralcalc.com/etabs-bridge

What you need
  - Windows, with ETABS installed (the bridge loads ETABS's own CSiAPIv1.dll
    from the ETABS folder; it does not carry a copy).
  - The .NET 8 Desktop Runtime (x64), free from Microsoft:
    https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet/8.0

This is the bridge as an ETABS plugin: it runs inside ETABS, so it needs no
registration and no administrator rights. Use it if EtabsWebBridge.exe says
"Couldn't attach to ETABS".

Once
  1. Unzip EtabsWebBridge.dll to a folder of your own that stays put,
     e.g. Documents\EtabsWebBridge.
  2. In ETABS: Tools > Add/Show Plug-Ins... > Add, browse to
     EtabsWebBridge.dll, OK.

Each time
  1. Open your model in ETABS (run the analysis, and the design for the
     column schedule and the beam detailing; for the beam detailing, select
     the beam's frames; for a wall pier's or a column's loads, run the
     shear wall or concrete frame design too, so the bridge reads ETABS's
     own design forces;
     for the stability index, torsional irregularity and story drift,
     the analysis is enough).
  2. Tools > Add/Show Plug-Ins..., pick EtabsWebBridge, Run.
  3. Click Start Bridge. It listens on http://localhost:5051, on your own
     computer only.
  4. In a calculator on thestructuralcalc.com, use the button that reads
     from ETABS.

To use the model later with ETABS closed, save the whole model once on
https://thestructuralcalc.com/etabs-models (from 1.10.0 it reads every
support's reactions, every column, pier and beam in one go each).

It only reads, but for one thing: the torsional irregularity check can write
the amplified accidental eccentricity into your seismic load patterns (from
1.9.0). The bridge window then shows what it will write and which page asks,
and writes nothing unless you click Yes. Writing unlocks the model, which
deletes its analysis results: run the analysis again afterwards.

Leave the bridge window open while you work; close it when you are done.
